Governance
Independence is the whole point
The award is administered by Consumers Voice Ghana with a separation of powers: research, adjudication, endorsement and certification are held by different people. No individual may hold more than one of these roles in an active cycle.
Board of Trustees
Every certificate is signed by three
Dr. Ama Nkrumah
Mr. Kwesi Appiah
Ms. Abena Osei
The Board operates at arm's length from the research function to preserve independence, and ratifies results only after scoring is complete. Additional sector trustees may be co-opted for category-specific expertise.
Ethics & integrity
The rules that keep it honest
No pay-to-play — ever
No business may pay, offer to pay, or induce any benefit in exchange for consideration, scoring, or an award. Attempts result in a permanent ban.
Advertising independence
A hard wall separates sales from editorial. An advertiser during the research window is disqualified from winning that cycle.
Conflict of interest
Trustees, researchers and experts must disclose any relationship with a nominated business and recuse themselves; undisclosed conflicts mean dismissal and public notice.
Anti-nepotism
No one may score a business founded, owned or led by a family member, or from which they have taken paid work in the preceding five years.
Whistleblower protection
Anyone with evidence of impropriety may report to the ethics line; retaliation is prohibited and reports are reviewed by an external auditor.
Report an ethics concern at ethics@consumersvoiceghana.com. Every issued certificate is verifiable at Consumers Voice Ghana; the full public record is the Master Register.
