Methodology · Charter v1.0

How a business earns a Top 3 Ghana award

Recognition is derived from independent research conducted by Consumers Voice Ghana. Every business is scored against nine weighted dimensions, from four triangulated evidence streams — never from a single source, and never from payment.

Step one

The nine pillars

Each pillar is scored out of 10.0. A score below 7.0 on any single pillar disqualifies the business that cycle — regardless of the average.

115%

Quality of Service

The intrinsic quality of what is delivered — outcome, accuracy, consistency.

212%

Professionalism

Conduct, presentation, punctuality, respect, ethical behaviour.

312%

Service Expertise

Depth of knowledge, accuracy of advice, specialist competency.

412%

Quality of Delivery

Timeliness, condition on arrival, reliability of promised dates.

515%

Customer Feedback

Independently verified customer sentiment and repeat/recommendation rates.

610%

Customer Service

Responsiveness, courtesy, issue resolution, post-sale support.

78%

Health & Safety

Workplace and customer-facing safety practices and compliance.

88%

Communication

Clarity of claims, pricing transparency, responsiveness.

98%

Project Management

Organisational discipline, timeline and scope adherence.

Step two

Four independent research streams

A40% of signal

Consumer Voice Survey

Structured survey of verified customers — every respondent must evidence a genuine transaction.

B20% of signal

Mystery Shopping

Blind engagements by different field researchers across days, times, and channels.

C20% of signal

Public Digital Reputation

De-duplicated, bot-filtered aggregation of public reviews, weighted by recency and verification.

D20% of signal

Sector Expert Panel

Independent sector experts, blinded to other streams, on a flat honorarium with conflict declarations.

Streams are triangulated into a single Weighted Overall Score. A discrepancy greater than 1.5 points between streams triggers investigation before a score is finalised — this is how manipulated reviews and outlier judgements are caught.

The threshold

Three winners — or fewer

Gold 1st Place

The top-ranked organisation in its category for the cycle — the category leader.

Silver 2nd Place

The runner-up — a top-tier performer within striking distance of the leader.

Bronze 3rd Place

Earned entry into the Top 3 — the benchmark for excellence in the category.

A business must score no pillar below 7.0 and a Weighted Overall Score of at least 8.0 to enter the Top 3. If fewer than three businesses in a category meet the threshold, fewer than three awards are issued. A Gold-only, Silver-only, or No-Award cycle is legitimate.
